Cheshire P.B.A. Community Foundation

The Community Foundation was started in 1998 in an effort to establish a good relationship between the police service and the community of Cheshire, Connecticut.

The primary purpose of the Foundation is to promote community involvement by supporting charitable, educational, recreational and benevolent purposes in and about the Town of Cheshire. Each member of the P.B.A., Inc. is also a member of the Foundation.

The Foundation has contributed to many organizations and causes including:

    • Connecticut Special Olympics
    • American Cancer Society's Relay for Life
    • Cheshire Youth Baseball/Softball
    • C.H.A.T.
    • Cheshire YMCA
    • Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
    • Cheshire Kiwanis Bicycle Safety Day
    • Cheshire Challengers
    • American Red Cross
    • CHS Graduation Alcohol-Free Class Party
    • Annual scholarships awarded to CHS graduates

....and many others

Following Hurricane Katrina, the members of the foundation raised money to support the displaced family of a New Orleans Police Officer who sought refuge in Cheshire. In addition to raising money for clothing, food, and other essentials, our members volunteered many hours painting and preparing a house for them to live in. We are proud of the relationships that we built with other generous townspeople and businesses as we worked together to provide a home.

The Foundation raises money "as needed" to support its endeavors, but we always accept and appreciate your donations. The PBA Community Foundation is an IRS 501 (c) (4) organization. If you would like to contribute, please send your check to:
